Who are we? |

Jon Boagey and Sukanjana Chuaiprasit met in 1989 while working in the Lao refugee camps of north-east Thailand. They got married, had children and eventually returned to England in 1995. Thai-uk.org started in 2000 after a general frustration with British stereotypes of Thailand and Thai people and a desire to bring up our three children so that they valued their Thai heritage in the face of the dominant UK culture. When we launched our bookshop we separated it off from the main site to become thai-bookshop.com. Thai-uk is a voluntary effort which we try to fit in around everything else that's going on in our lives. If the site isn't always up-to-date, please bear with us - we're getting round to it! |
